<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a dot stably by suppressing occurrence of longitudinal streaks on an image regardless of fluctuation in the distribution of quantity of light among respective LED elements. SOLUTION: An image is formed using a group of two adjacent LED elements in an LED array 12 as the minimum unit of image information (1 dot). Even if a dot is formed unstably using only one LED element 3, peak quantity of light can be increased by summing the quantity of light of the LED elements 3 forming a group continuously and enlarging the distribution of quantity of light in the main scanning direction. Consequently, occurrence of longitudinal streaks is suppressed and dots D are formed stably.</p> |
