PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase strength of a bottle body and to prevent at the same time deformation by collapse of the bottle body having reinforcement ribs and reinforcement panels and the like. SOLUTION: A second reinforcement panel 23 is formed at the lower part 11 of a trunk part 4, and the second reinforcement panel 23 is made up of upper projecting/indented stripes 25, lower projecting/indented stripes 26 and a recessed part 27 extending in the circumferential direction between the upper and the lower projecting/indented stripes 25 and 26. Because of presence of the recessed part 27, the lower part 11 of the trunk part 4 is made flexible, and thereby deformation by collapse of the trunk part 4 arising from decompression or pressurization at the inside of a synthetic resin bottle body or pressing pressure applied by pressurization arising from self-weight of contents is prevented.
