<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To freely change the position of a handrail vertically, horizontally or obliquely according to usage by making the handrail freely variable in height, and making it repeatedly lowerable near to a floor surface as required. SOLUTION: The arm 2b of a bracket and a handrail reception section 3a are connected via a fastening screw 4, and a slide section 2a can be moved while its protruded section with a C-shaped cross section is inserted into the groove recess 1a of a stanchion 1. When the bracket is lowered to a non- hindrance position as required, the width of a stairway or a corridor is widened. For recovery, the bracket is returned to the original position, and fixing screws 2d, 4 are fastened. The junction between the handrail reception section 3a and the arm 2b is provided with a groove section 3b pinching the arm 2b and a circular cavity section 5 connecting them, and the fastening screw 4 is inserted. After the fitting angle of a handrail 3 is set, a set of a female screw and a male screw are fastened and fixed.</p> |
