PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly implement ultrasonic imaging up using a microbaloon contrast medium by applying it to a ultrasonic transducer via a filter blocking high frequency components of drive signal in transmitting ultrasonic wave and receiving the same. SOLUTION: High frequency wave blocking filters 242 are respectively connected to a plurality of ultratransducers 222 for every other lines of ultrasonic transducer array 230. Thereby, the transducers 222 to which the filters 242 are connected respectively can be distributed uniformly over the whole array 230. The transducer 222 forming a transmission aperture is selected from the group of transducers 222 to which the filters 242 are connected. Accordingly, the drive signal given to the transducer 222 has only a basic component with the elimination of high frequency components by the filter 242.
