PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject injection having excellent solubility in use regardless of the crystal type of the free cephalosporin in its hydrochloride salt used for the production of the injection by dissolving the hydrochloride and a basic carbonate salt in water, etc., and subsequently lyophilizing the obtained solution. SOLUTION: This cephalosporin injection is obtained by dissolving (A) 7-β-[2-(5-amino-1,2,4-thiadiazol-3-yl)-2-(Z)-methoxyiminoacetamido]-3-[(1- imidazo[1,2-b]pyridazium)methyl]-3-cephem-4-caroxylate.hydrochloride and (B) a basic carbonate salt (preferably sodium carbonate or sodium bicarbonate) in water or an ethyl alcohol aqueous solution (preferably a 4-50 vol.% ethyl alcohol aqueous solution) and subsequently lyophilizing the solution. It is preferable to lyophilize a solution obtained by dissolving the components A and B in water at 20-60 deg.C. |
