SOIL PENETRANT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a soil penetrant having not only the initial water permeability but also persistence with time for various soils such as a nursery bed, culture soil, further soil in a golf course or greening projects and capable of providing water permeability and water holding properties stabilized for a long period. SOLUTION: This soil penetrant is obtained by making a surfactant stick to a carrier comprising a substance having a porous structure such as a zeolite, a peat-moss or a coconut shell and a substance having a nonporous structure such as quartz sand or sea sand. The substance having the porous structure is preferably a granular or a powdery material having >=50μm and <=10 mm average grain diameter or a fibrous material having >=50μm and <=10 mm average fiber length. The mixing ratio of the substance having the porous structure to the substance having the nonporous structure is preferably (5/95) to (95/5) expressed in terms of weight ratio.
