<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste water treatment apparatus capable of preventing the sedimentation of a carrier the lower part of the air diffusion device arranged in a reaction tank or to the lower part of the air diffusion device of an aeration tank and an apparatus therefor. SOLUTION: Oxygen supplying air diffusion devices 3 are arranged to an aeration tank 1 receiving a carrier 2 growing bacteria to biologically treat waste water or to aeration sub-units connected by partition walls containing screens capable of separating the carrier 2 and, by allowing water to be treated to flow in the tank 1 from a supply pipe 3a arranged under the air diffusion devices 3, a water flow or circulating water fluidizing the carrier 2 is generated under the air diffusion devices 3 to prevent the sedimentation of the carrier 2 under the air diffusion devices 3. In the waste water treatment method thus constituted, the sedimentation of the carrier 2 under the air diffusion devices 3 is eliminated and the treatment efficiency as the aeration tank is kept and the treatment capacity corresponding to a plan value can be obtained.</p> |
