发明名称 VISUAL MIRROR SYSTEM
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To afford an unobstructed view for the opposite lane by providing a dihedral mirror in a designated condition in a designated portion near an obstacle obstructing the field of view such as a post of a high-level traffic equipment between the traffic lanes. SOLUTION: In the case where a vehicle 6 in the opposite lane can not be confirmed from the running vehicle 5 side because a post or the like of a high-level road is an obstacle 4 to the field of view, plane mirrors 8-1-A, 8-2 are provided opposite to each other on the intersection 1 side of the obstacle 4. At this time, the mirror 8-1-A on the intersection 1 side is shifted to the opposite lane 3 side to dispose the reflecting surface opposite to the mirror 8-2, and the mirror 8-2 is put nearer to the running lane 2 than the mirror 8-1-A to direct the reflecting surface toward the vehicle 5 side, so that the light ray of the vehicle 6 is incident on the mirrors 8-1-A, 8-2 and reflected to reach the vehicle 2 turning to the right at the intersection 1. Secondly, a convex mirror is used as the mirror 8-1-A at need to widen the visual range, or a clear color is applied to the frame of the mirror 8-1-A to clearly show the image of the opposite lane 3, or a marker showing of which direction the opposite mirror projects the traffic situation is provided. Thus, the vehicle in the opposite lane can be confirmed before reaching the intersection.
