PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the deterioration of the treatment efficiency of a catalytic device over time. SOLUTION: This catalytic reaction method is to treat a specific component contained in a gas to be treated 1 by decomposition using catalytic layers formed in a multistage fashion and make a gas component produced by the decomposition treatment absorbed into an absorption liquid 22 by an absorption column 13a. In this case, when the gas component to be produced through the decomposition treatment by the catalytic layer has adhesive properties, the gas to be treated 1 is guided into a first stage catalytic layer 12a to be treated by decomposition. Further, this gas is guided into the first stage absorption column 13a to be brought into contact with the absorption liquid 22, and thereby, the adhesive component is removed by absorption. In addition, the gas to be treated 1 is guided into a second stage catalytic layer 12b to be treated by decomposition and then is brought into contact with the absorption liquid 22 in the absorption column 13b. Thus the operation to remove the adhesive component by absorption is repeated a plurality of times. |
