PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain sealing performance by enhancing follow-up performance of a packing. SOLUTION: In this device, a packing is fitted to a peripheral groove formed on one of faced surfaces of a rotation member and a stationary member facing each other, and a space between the both members is sealed by making the packing come into contact with another faced surface. The packing 20 is composed of the first packing 21 formed of a tetrafluoroethylene resin on the groove opening side and the second packing 22 formed of rubber compressively placed on the groove bottom side. An inner peripheral surface of the first packing 21 in contact with the second packing 22 is formed into a conical surface 21a with its diameter tapering off toward non-sealed side so that an energized forced of the second packing 22 acts in its radial direction and axial direction, and the first packing 21 is pressed onto another faced surface 3a and a side surface 7a on the non-sealed side in the peripheral groove 7 by the energized force of the second packing 22. |
