PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surgical microscope which can prevent accidents such as the firing of various motor-driven mechanism parts by stopping a motor if the motor is overloaded. SOLUTION: A surgical microscope, in which the operation of turning a foot switch 80 on by imparting operating forces thereto causes driving power to be supplied from a power supply part to a motor 21 serving as a drive means provided in the surgical microscope to put the surgical microscope into various kinds of movements, so that the drive means is driven to put the surgical microscope into the desired movement, has a timer 44 measuring the time elapsed since the time of the operation of turning the foot switch 80 on and a drive control part 40 which stops the motor 21 when the time measured by the timer 44 reaches a certain value. |
