PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a molten raw material from solidifying in a feeding pipe without installing a heating means such as a heater or a heat reserving means such as a heat insulating material on the outer periphery of the feeding pipe when overflowing the molten raw material from an auxiliary crucible and feeding the molten raw material through the feeding pipe to a main crucible. SOLUTION: A pipe 1a for feeding a melt liquid in an auxiliary crucible 1 to a main crucible by overflowing is formed in the center of the auxiliary crucible 1 made of quartz. When the raw material in the auxiliary crucible 1 is melted, an additional raw material in an amount so as to intermittently overflow the molten liquid in the auxiliary crucible 1 from an opening at the top of a pipe 1a and feed the molten liquid to a main crucible is fed without continuously feeding the raw material from a feeder 21 into the auxiliary crucible 1.
