PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent distorted deformation in an outer casing metal in providing a mount main body in such a state that the outer casing metal is fitted and fixed around a metal sleeve by reducing the diameter of the outer casing metal, by setting the outer casing metal into a C-shaped section having a slit extending continuously in the axial direction. SOLUTION: An outer metal cylinder 14 is externally inserted around a metal sleeve 34 of a main body rubber elastic body 16 and made to reduce its diameter so as to be fitted and fixed around the outer circumferential face, thereby forming a mount main body 18. The outer metal cylinder 14 is press fixed to the mount main body in the installation hole 20 of a bracket 22 so as to be assembled into an engine mount 10. A slit 76 extending continuously in the axial direction with a prescribed width is formed in a point on the circumference in the outer metal cylinder 14 so that its section has approximately C shape. The stress generated in the outer metal cylinder 14 can be reduced by reducing the opening width of the slit 76 by a diameter-reducing work in fitting the outer metal cylinder 14 around the metal sleeve 34 and a diameter- reducing work in its press fitting into the installation hole 20 of the bracket 22 so that the distorted deformation of the outer metal cylinder 14 can be prevented.
