PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a device by a method wherein a color printing is executed on a predetermined recording medium so as to carry out a color adjustment on the basis of its printing result in order to produce press plates for respective colors for magenta ink, for cyan ink and for yellow ink. SOLUTION: In order to print a color image by an offset printing machine, first of all, a manuscript is edited on a personal computer 6. The manuscript contains characters, photographs, figures and the like, which are properly arranged so as to complete a printing copy. Next, a printing work is started. As a first step, the copy is sent through a cable 7 to a print head 2 so as to print on a plain paper, since this printed paper is a proof sheet under the condition that an arbitrary recording medium such as a plain paper or the like will do. Next, as a second step, color conditions are carefully checked so as to realize the desired color matching. By carrying out the color adjustment, a final copy is determined. Finally, as a third step, an offset printing is started. A color proof and a press plate can be formed by a single ink jet printer. |
