PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject complex having a low viscosity when dispersed in water, excellent in suspension stability, texture, shape retaining properties, fluidity, etc., of a tube fed liquid diet and having both effects of water insolubility and water solubility of dietary fibers by including a specific mcirocellulose and a slightly digestible dextrin therein. SOLUTION: This complex contains (A) 20-99 wt.% of a microcellulose having <=30 μm average particle diameter when dispersing the complex in water and (B) 1-80 wt.% of a slightly digestible dextrin (preferably containing >=70 wt.% of a slightly digestible component). The viscosity of the complex when dispersed in water at 3 wt.% concentration is preferably <=300 mPa.s and the content of a colloidal fraction is preferably 5-50%. Xanthan gum or gellan gum or both in an amount of 0.1-3 wt.% as a stabilizer are preferably further formulated with the complex. The complex is preferably obtained by mixing the components A with B in a hydrous state, e.g. a slurry or a pasty state and then drying the resultant mixture. |
