<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treating device capable of preventing attachment of solid components to a portion in contact with a gas inside the treating device and of treating a thermally decomposable gas in the same manner as a combustible gas. SOLUTION: One end of a casing 1 is formed with an exhaust gas inlet 3 and the other end thereof is formed with an exhaust gas outlet 5. A cylindrical insulator 6 is located inside the casing 1 with a given distance apart from a circumferential side wall 11 of the casing. A catalyst layer 8 is arranged on the inner circumferential surface of the cylindrical heat insulator 6. The space established between the circumferential side wall 11 of the casing and the outer circumferential surface of the cylindrical heat insulator 6 is formed to be a fuel path 7. An outside air intake tube 13 is provided through the circumferential side wall 11 of the casing, the fuel path 7 and the cylindrical heat insulator 6 so as to reach the catalyst layer 8. An electrothermal heater 10 is arranged on the inner surface of the catalyst layer 8.</p> |
