PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a deflection angle as an intrinsic characteristic, which serves as a standard of flyability of a golf ball. SOLUTION: The rear end 1B of a club shaft 1 on which a grip is attached is fixed so that the front end side turns down vertically. Then, the deflection angle of the front end 1A of the club shaft 1 is measured by exerting a bending moment corresponding to the product of the distance of the center of gravity of the club head to be set and a centrifugal force at impact on a ball, on the front end 1A of the club shaft 1.
