PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel subtank which is made of a resin consisting of polyethylene, and which can effectively prevent development of a crack by environmental stress, fatigue cracking due to fuel swelling or a problem of interference with a fuel gauge. SOLUTION: A fuel subtank is formed of an injection molding made of polyethylene having a density of 0.935 to 0.938 g/cm<3> and a melt flow rate of 0.8 to 5.0 g/10 min. With polyethylene having a specific range of density and a specific range of a melt flow rate, a crack by environmental stresses caused by fuel swelling can hardly develop, and the fatigue strength and the durability are high. Further, deformation causedby residual strain during molding can hardly occur, and accordingly, it is possible to restrain occurrence of indication error of a fuel meter due to interference between a fuel gauge and the wall of the subtank. |
