PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent recording from being interrupted when a liquid is supplied to a sub tank while the inside of the sub tank is used as a sealed space and the inside pressure is reduced. SOLUTION: A main tank 2 and a sub tank 3 are connected by a main tank tube 32, and the sub tank 3 and a hold tank 33 are connected by a sub tank hold tank tube 64. The hold tank 33 is connected to a discharge head part 1 via a hold tank tube 26, an air buffer 49 and a head supply tube 20. A fluid passage resistance when the ink in the hold tank 33 flows the hold tank tube 26 and the air buffer 49 and a sub tank tube 21 is smaller than that at the main tank tube 32. When the ink is supplied to the sub tank 3 while a pressure in the sub tank 3 is reduced by a feed pump 66 after an air open valve 63, a sib tank valve 38 and a sub tank hold tank valve 39 are closed, the ink in the gold tank 33 is supplied to the discharge head part 1. |
