Halogen-free flame resistant composite

The invention relates to a halogen-free flame resistant composite comprising a fibrous material and/or a woven material which is impregnated and hardened with a resin matrix. The resin matrix based on an epoxide/anhydride reactive resin is additionally made flame resistant with reactively inserting phosphorous compounds based on acid derivatives. The composite is suited as a light material for use in vehicle manufacturing, for example, for rail vehicles, assembly of motor vehicles and for ship and aircraft components.
