FIELD: veterinary science, veterinary immunology. SUBSTANCE: bacterial suspension is prepared, added to sodium citrate solution and heated to +37-39 C. Then blood sample taken from animal is stratified on suspension and smear is prepared. Method excludes the need of storage and transport of samples to laboratory.
