<p>PURPOSE:To uniformize the chemical components and the temp. of molten metal, to eliminate the remaining solid material, to shorten the production process, to reduce the melting cost, to improve yield and productivity and to obtain a good product having high product component precision without dispersion, in the operation of an arc furnace for producing a cast iron by supplying melting material. CONSTITUTION:The melting material is fed into an arc furnace 10, and by energizing the arc electrodes 13, melting, heating and temp. raising are executed and also, when the molten metal temp. reaches 1420 deg.C, oxygen blowing into the molten metal P in the arc furnace 10 is started. When the molten metal reaches >=1500 deg.C, the oxygen blowing is stopped and the slag-off is executed and also, the chemical components in the molten metal P is analyzed. The molten metal P is shifted into a simple ladle refining furnace 30, and while executing the stirring by injecting the inert gas, the adjustment of the components is executed.</p> |
