FIELD: railway track structure design. SUBSTANCE: this relates to railway track structure with wooden sleepers. Rail spike has oval head 1 and stem 2 of square cross-section. Lower part of stem is made with slot which is located along its axis at distance from head equal to half of stem length. Created ends are made in the form of single-bevel wedges. Bevels are facing each other. Application of aforesaid embodiment of rail spike improves reliability of spike fastening in wooden sleeper. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 dwg
