The method involves assembling a closed circular case having fixed and movable metallic flanges. Permanent deformation is applied to an circular internal radial surface (50a) when each of clearance passing locking units (26b, 26c) is in an active position to assign transverse displacement, in a orthogonal plan at an inclination axis, to one of the flanges with respect to another flange, in a clearance compensation position in which clearance between a processed steel internal circular tooth and one of two external tooth is passed. The former flange is maintained in the compensation position. An independent claim is also included for a method for fabricating a front seat of a motor vehicle.
