USE OF HUMAN UMBILICAL CORD BLOOD FOR ADOPTIVE THERAPY

摘要

Human Umbilical Cord Blood (HUCB) cells have shown promising advantages over bone marrow (BM) cells for transplantation. This study indicates that in addition to their use for transplatation (i.e. engraftment), another potential clinical use for HUCB cells is as an adjuvant therapy to enhance both endogenous hematopoietic reconstitution and immunocompetence of the host.
