<p>This invention is related to the use of an RAR antagonist for the inhibition of mucin production in a mammal. Preferably, the RAR antagonist is an RARα selective antagonist. In another aspect, this invention is related to the inhibition of mucin gene expression in a human epithelial cell by contacting the cell with an RAR antagonist, preferably an RARα selective antagonist.</p> |
