Laser device for range measuring instrument

The laser device has a laser diode (3) coupled to an optical fiber (4) which is curved over a given section, e.g. with a curvature radius of between 4 and 7 mm and provided with an exit opening for extraction of a reference light beam (12) within the curved section. An Independent claim for a range measuring instrument is also included.
