The present invention may be used in various technical fields requiring an intensive thermal transfer between two thermal exchange systems. This invention, which provides for an intensive thermal transfer with a reduced hydraulic resistance, is easy to implement and convenient to use. To this end, the thermal exchange surface comprises a packet of grids which are mutually connected together by connection units. Each grid is made in the shape of mutually-perpendicular cylindrical crossbars which define a plurality of squares at their intersections. In one embodiment, balls are arranged in the summits of the squares. The packet grids are placed one above the other so that the balls or angles of the squares in contiguous grids are arranged in the shape of a checkerboard. At the level of the grid connection units, the cylindrical crossbars have a diameter which is larger than that of the remaining main crossbars while a thickening is formed on the cylindrical crossbar of a grid placed in between, said thickening engaging the cylindrical crossbars having a larger diameter. The dimensions of the distinct members in a packet further depend on predetermined relationships.
|
