The glass keyboard has a keyboard surface made of a thin glass plate and at least one carrier material plate with electrically conducting layers on their facing surfaces held apart by a distance piece. The electrically conducting layers are brought into contact at the essentially point-shaped pressure loading points when the glass plate is subjected to pressure. The flexible thin glass plate is made of a drawn thin glass foil. The carrier plate is slightly large than the thin glass plate, so that the edge region (20) of the carrier plate protrudes beyond the edge of the thin glass plate on all sides. An Independent claim is also included for a method of producing a glass keyboard.
