<p>The molten raw material inside a feed pipe is prevented from solidifying without disposing any heating means such as a heater and any heat-keeping means such as a heat-insulating material on the outer periphery of the feed pipe when the molten raw material is allowed to overflow from an auxiliary crucible and supplied to a main crucible through the feed pipe. A pipe (1a) for supplying the molten liquid inside the auxiliary crucible (1) to the main crucible (11) by overflow is provided at the center of the auxiliary crucible (1) made of quartz. When the raw material inside the auxiliary crucible (1) is molten, an additional raw material overflowing intermittently, not continuously, from an opening at the upper end of the pipe (1a) is supplied into the main crucible (11) from a feeder (21).</p> |
