The current and charge regulation method detects the momentary values of the current and charge of the capacitive load (2) and processes them using a stabilization algorithm, to provide an output value compared with a reference signal (6) for the charge, the obtained difference signal subjected to a switch algorithm for controlling a transistor pulse regulator (3) associated with a current source. An Independent claim for a circuit for current and charge regulation of a capacitive load is also included.
