Metal cylinder liner production for use in internal combustion engine

Liner production comprises the manufacture of a metal cylinder liner (6) for the cylinder block of an internal combustion engine. The inner surface of the liner has a surface structuring applied to it. The surface structuring is applied as the cylinder is being made in a single working step, using the pressure roll method, in which the pressure roll mandrel (2) of the pressure rolling machine is made in the negative shape for the required surface structuring of the liner.
