Radar equipment operating with electromagnetic waves, e.g. for use as an obstruction sensor on a motor vehicle

The radar equipment has a radar housing (1) with an antenna (2) for transmitting and receiving electromagnetic waves with a relatively high predefined frequency and a screen (3) comprising a conductor which covers the housing. The screen comprises sections (4) opposite the antenna which select a frequency. The resonant frequency of the screen sections is set to the predefined frequency. The screen sections permit the passage of electromagnetic waves at the predefined frequency but cut off noise waves with lower frequencies.
