A headlamp for a car has a housing and a reflector held in a reflector carrier. The reflector carrier is located so as to be adjustable about a horizontal and a vertical axis to the housing. The reflector is adjustable by a drive system for vertical adjustment about the horizontal axis. A drive system (7) for horizontal adjustment can be pivoted at the housing (2) about a horizontal pivot axis (12) by a vertical adjustment angle. The drive system turns the reflector (3) by a horizontal adjustment angle about a vertical axis (23) corresponding to a control unit. The drive system (13) for vertical adjustment, spaced apart from the horizontal pivot axis at the height of the vertical axis, exerts an adjusting force corresponding to a control unit and thereby pivots the reflector about the horizontal pivot axis.
