<p>The invention concerns a production method and a material comprising a gypsum matrix lightened by means of porous crystal aggregates of hydrated calcium silicate. Said aggregates comprise an inner part wherein the crystals are loosely intermingled and a denser outer part. The material enables to produce fire resistant building elements which combine low density with good fire resistance, that is a prolonged fire resistance time during which the temperature of the building element surface not exposed to the fire is lower than 140 °C above room temperature, measured according to the ISO 834 standard.</p> |
