SHEET HAVING POWDER COATED THEREON, AND PRODUCTION AND USE THEREOF

A sheet having a powder coating thereon, which comprises a substrate and, coated thereon, a resin layer containing particles of a powder coating composition having a particle diameter of 0.1 to 30 mu m, which are distributed uniformly and intermittently with fine inorganic particles having a particle diameter of 1 nm to 1 mu m intervening between them. Such a powder coated sheet can be suitably used as an inkjet recording sheet. The above-mentioned sheet having a powder coating thereon can be prepared by a method comprising providing a powder mixture by mixing a powder coating composition having a particle diameter of 0.1 to 30 mu m and fine inorganic particles having a particle diameter of 1 nm to 1 mu m, applying the powder mixture by dry coating on a substrate, and fusing with heat the powder coating composition to place on the substrate together with the fine inorganic particles, to thereby form a resin layer of the powder coating composition on the substrate.
