The assembly and dismantling aid holds one roller (7) to the chassis during assembly or removal, the device screwed to a chassis beam (3) exterior (15). The device secures the track roller (7) or flange (11, 13) by the opposing jaws of a holder encircling the respective roller flange. Each flange has a receiver to forcibly grasp the roller flange in the vee profile of the receiver. The receiver can be adjusted for size on the holder jaw, the holder moving lengthways (L) along the roller axis (A) and at the same time adjusting arrestably in the direction (V) normal to the axis (A). The longitudinal movement of the holder allows a row of rollers to be changed round without displacing the holder relative the chassis beam (3), thus taking the entire track roller set without holder displacement, possibly using several pairs of holder jaws.
