The unit has a mechanical transmission part (4). This is arranged, so that the speed increasing ratio in the theoretically possible and successive gears, causes gear ratio step jumps of phi //= 1,45 between two successive gear steps of individual speeds. The transmission part also has a mechanical after-shift set (6) with an input coupled to the drive of a mechanical speed/torque converter (5). The transmission part is arranged, so that the components involved in speed/torque conversion, give a ratio of 3(i)3,25 in the first gear step, and a ratio of 0,7 (i)0,9 in the last gear step.
