A weighing apparatus comprising a number of grippers (1) each designed for receiving therein an object (E) to be weighed, each gripper (1) being mounted on a conveyor (2) via a connection (4, 5, 6, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36), so that the grippers (1) are arranged for movement along a gripper path, each gripper (1) comprising a first guide element (7) which, over at least a part of the gripper path, moves over a weighing surface (8) of at least one weighing element (42), the weight of the gripper (1) and the object (E) located therein being transferrred via the first guide element (7) to the at least one weighing element (42), the connection (4-6, 30-36) between each gripper (1) and the conveyor (2) comprising at least one assembly of flexible members (4-6, 30-36) each having a particularly low spring constant in a direction perpendicular to the at least one weighing surface (8).
