<p>A base station system extracts a transmission power control signal from a received signal and carries out first transmission power control in an amplifier (116, 127). The base station system also estimates the quality of the received signal in an SIR meter (122, 133) and adjusts the offset value of the amplifier (116, 127) depending on the estimate by an offset adjuster (135, 136) to carry out second transmission power control. The second transmission power control is carried out to decrease power for a far mobile station and increase for a near mobile station.</p> |
