<p>A novel process for producing oxoalkylene biaryldicarboxylate useful as an intermediate for medecine and represented by general formula (III) (wherein ring Ar represents a substituted benzene ring or an optionally substituted naphthalene ring and Alk represents optionally substituted alkylene), characterized by reacting a biaryldicarbonyl dihalide (I) with an oxoalkanediol (II) or a dimer thereof; a process for industrially advantageously producing the intermediate; and a method for racemizing an unnecessary, optically active isomer of the intermediate.</p> |
