The multi-pin plug coupling has a plug base with a number of concentric contact openings (4) fitted with conductive contact elements (5) and a counter-plug with corresponding contact projections for engaging the contact elements upon assembly of the plug coupling, with the plug base and the counter-plug rotatable to one another through 360 degrees.The contact elements are provided by spring-loaded contact rings with their contact surfaces (9) perpendicular to the plug-in direction (7), supplied with current only after depression by the inserted contact projections.
