<p>In the present invention, clip distortions generated when a received multicarrier signal is converted into a digital signal by an A/D 22 are regarded as additive noise, and the positions and number of clip distortions are detected by a DET 28 on the basis of the output from the A/D 22. The difference values between information symbols at two ends of a received block signal on the frequency axis, which is output from a DFT 24 and known zero symbols are obtained by subtracters 26 and 27. A CAN 25 estimates the magnitudes of clip distortions from the difference values and the detection result of the position and number of clips and cancels the clip distortions. <IMAGE></p> |
