Transverse welding apparatus and process to adjust and move the welding bar in one transverse welding apparatus

The plastics foil welder has two welding heads which are mounted in a support frame (2) attached by their ends to belt drives (8). The relative position of the welding heads (14,16) on the belt drives is adjustable with the one welding head having three guide rollers (18,19,20) on each belt drive, and with the belts looped over the middle rollers (20). The middle rollers can be uncoupled to adjust the setting of the welding head on the machine. A simple coupling system for the middle rollers has a hollow axle with a coupling shaft pushed through its centre to secure the setting.
