The construction of the reinforced concrete swimming pool involves no formwork, no machines apart from cement mixer, no masonry work, no pneumatic cement compressors or ejectors, and no vibration process; and a basin with 500 m3 water capacity can be completed in twelve hours. Earth is first excavated, leaving no sharp corners between sidewalls or between these and the base. A basket-type mesh of steel is applied to this, covering sides and base and fitting closely against its shape. Concrete is then applied, starting from the joints between base and sidewalls, and walls are raised in individual sections.
