An evaporator having a defrosting heater is provided to improve defrosting efficiency and to install the heater to a heat exchanger tube by inserting the heater between cooling fins in longitudinal direction. An evaporator comprises cooling fins(10) where a heat exchanger tube(30) is inserted to, and a conductive heater(20). The heater is inserted between cooling fins in longitudinal direction. The heater is attached to the heat exchanger tube by a thermal conductive adhesive.
