Indicator

An indicator comprises a display 11 to be illuminated and a light source 53. A light guide 47 is arranged for conveying light from the light source to illuminate the display. Means 7, 49 are provided for moving the light guide. Movement of the light guide causes an appropriate part of the display to be illuminated. The indicator may be used in a control such as a switch in a motor vehicle.
