Transporting and dewatering solids raked up from sewage gulleys - to form disintegrated partially dried matter providing economic source of heat

Above a conveyor receiving the raked-up matter from the gulley grids, there are pressure cylinders which as the trough belt runs forward, dewater the solids by 50%, without separate pressing devices or draining bunkers. At the delivery end, a doctor removes the matter in the form of a flat cake. The improvement comprises using, the delivery end of the conveyor belt, a disintegrator from which the chopped up pieces of the flat cake fall into a container. The chopped up product burns readily either when consigned directly into the incinerator, or after storage.
