Stabilizing composition for pharmaceutical dosage forms

A new stabilizer component for incorporation into pharmaceutical dosage forms and methods of making pharmaceutical dosage forms with enhanced stability is provided. Betaine-HC1 provides enhanced stability, superior bioavailability and low toxicity in comparison with carboxylic acid compounds and other stabilizers of the prior art.
