Novel kdn derivatives and drugs containing the same as the active ingredient

KDN derivatives represented by general formula (1) or salts thereof and antiviral agents containing the same as the active ingredient wherein R<1> represents lower alkyl, lower alkenyl or aralkyl; R<2> and R<3> may be the same or different and each represents hydrogen or -SO3H, provided that R<2> and R<3> do not represent hydrogen atoms at the same time. These compounds are excellent in antiviral activity without showing any cytotoxicity.
